Secondary schools and colleges: Key Stage 4+

We miss you!

Whilst we are unable to welcome you to Brockhole and the National Park at the moment we would still love to work with you!

Whether you are still working in classrooms, remotely or a mixture of both we can deliver some of our below sessions to your class via Zoom.

We are also working on adding more to our online offer for some of our most popular sessions. Please do get in touch via email to find out more, discuss your requirements and book with us.

School visits under Covid restrictions

Brockhole has seemed so empty without our visiting school groups this past year.  We are really keen to welcome back groups of all ages when the time is right and can be very flexible in how we work and what we offer.

We are very lucky here – so much of our learning programme is delivered outside in our stunning grounds where social distancing and ‘bubble working’ is possible.

If you are thinking about organising a school visit for the summer term or the 21/22 academic year, please do get in touch. We are keen to make your visit as safe and enjoyable as possible and will be guided by your school Covid 19 procedures. Please email, so that we can chat about what would work best for you.

We hope to see you soon!

With best wishes

Book your place

At Brockhole, we pride ourselves on combining fun and learning and making it accessible to all.  To do this, we open our grounds and house free of charge.  To continue to improve this unique learning provision, and to maintain the adventure playpark, we ask for a contribution of £1 for each visiting child.

Coach parking is free. While they wait, your coach driver may enjoy a free hot drink from our café. Parking charges apply to cars and minibuses. All income goes towards supporting the work of the Lake District National Park and helps to maintain our stunning landscape for all to enjoy.

Sue Jones, Head of Business, Notre Dame Catholic Sixth Form College:
"The sessions were tailor-made to suit the needs of the Business course that the students were studying, this included sessions on recruitment and selection and marketing. All of the information and materials provided were very relevant to the course and provided students with the opportunity to achieve a greater understanding of the topics.

The external moderator for the course has commented on the depth and quality of the information gathered by the students.

In summary I have used the Visitor Centre at Brockhole for a number of years and have always found the staff to be extremely helpful and more than willing to assist the students and myself."
