We are operated by the Lake District National Park Authority. Our visitor services include bookings, activities, events, retail, and customer support across both locations.

If you prefer not to speak with an automated system, you can request to speak to a human at any time.

We work with GDPR-compliant service providers and platforms, including for payment processing, bookings, and automated services.
We may use third-party services to support our operations, including booking systems provided by Benveno and tools from Elyte AI, which provides voice agents and automations to streamline customer interactions. These partners help us maintain an efficient and user-friendly experience.

Event T&Cs
What do I get for the ticket price?
- The ticket price entitles you to a wristband valid for the date you’ve selected.
- The wristband gives you access to all the activities and shows on site on that date (some activities have age restrictions).
- Only guests wearing a wristband can participate in activities and watch shows.
- We cannot guarantee that you will be able to do all the activities or watch all the shows.
- You cannot change the date of your ticket after purchase. Tickets are non-transferable.
Ticket collection
- Wristbands can only be collected from the White House on site at Brockhole on Windermere on the date you have selected.
- Wristbands can be collected from 09:00.
- Wristbands can only be purchased online.
16 years and under
Children sixteen and under must be supervised by a wristband holding adult inside shows & activities.
2 years and under
Children 2 years and under are free and do not need a wristband.
Carers
Carers go free. Carers must be accompanying a paying guest and must show their Carer’s Card on the day. You must let us know 1 week before the event if you’re bringing your carer to help us manage the daily capacity of the event.
Refunds
There are strictly no refunds for the event other than the event being cancelled.
Dogs
- Dogs are allowed in the grounds, the Gaddum Kitchen & shop. They must be kept on leads and under control.
- Dogs are not allowed to enter activity or show spaces.
Parking
Parking spaces are reserved for ticket holders only. Normal parking charges apply. First come first served.
Weather
Whilst the weather can sometimes be a bit wicked, be prepared and wear the correct wet weather clothing.
Queues
If you experience a long queue, you can leave for a different activity and come back when the cue is smaller.
Accessible Adventure Buggies
We have our new Accessible Adventure Buggies available for free for anyone who wants an extra push for getting around the site. Call and pre-book in advance. More info can be found here.
Be Prepared- Clothes & Footwear - Some activities are outside, so please dress warmly and bring outdoor clothing and footwear suitable for a wet woodland trail.
- Costumes - we love it when people dress up so why not go the whole hog and add to the atmosphere. Didn't have time for a costume? Don't worry, pop into our gift shop and purchase a spooky mask or costume.
