Join us at Brockhole for some inspiring creativity in our Spring/Summer programme of Art and Craft Workshops for 2022!

Our exciting workshops for adults are ideal for beginners or anyone with a love of making looking to try something new.

Workshops continue to run with small class sizes; to keep you safe and allow for a relaxed and enjoyable experience, where you can let your creativity flow!

Linocut Printmaking £28

Explore the exciting art of linocut printmaking; learn how to design, carve and hand print from your own lino block with beautiful results.

In this workshop we will produce A5 size one-colour prints, image resources will be provided but please feel free to bring along your own inspiration and ideas. The class is perfect for beginners.

Terracotta clay plant pots £45

Learn some of the essential techniques of hand-building with clay and create your own characterful handmade terracotta plant pots to take home and love.

This workshop will include a break for lunch, please bring along a packed lunch or let the tutor know in advance if you wish to order food in the café.

Hand printed tote bag £40

In this fun printmaking workshop you will learn how to create your own linocut blocks to print with, and use these to transform a plain tote bag into a unique hand-printed design. We will start the workshop by taking a look at the beautiful William Morris designs on the wallpaper and textiles in The Gaddum Lounge as a great inspiration for repeat pattern and block printing.

This workshop will include a break for lunch, please bring along a packed lunch or let the tutor know in advance if you wish to order food in the café.

We advise bringing an apron along or clothes you don’t mind getting messy to all the above workshops except for the ‘Felt and wire floral sculpture’ workshop.

Workshops must have a certain minimum number of bookings to run, we reserve the right to cancel workshops with insufficient bookings but will try to accommodate all booked customers as much as possible.
