Brockhole has its own dedicated pier, served daily by Windermere Lake Cruises. We are just a short, scenic boat ride away from Ambleside, Bowness, or Wray.

Note: Brockhole Pier is a level 5-minute walk from our main activity areas and is manned during the peak season (Easter to November).

 

Red Cruise

Operates all year round

Route: Bowness → Windermere Jetty Museum* → Brockhole → Ambleside (Waterhead) → Bowness

· Frequency: Arrivals and departures roughly every 40 minutes throughout the day

· Best for: Visitors staying in Bowness or Ambleside

*Stops at Windermere Jetty Museum during peak season only (April – October).

 

Green Cruise

Peak season only (April – October)

Route: Ambleside (Waterhead) → Wray → Brockhole → Ambleside (Waterhead).

​

· Frequency: Arrivals and departures roughly every 70 minutes throughout the day.

· Best for: Walkers from villages and campsites on the western shore.
