Nature's playground
Brockhole’s natural spaces invite visitors to slow down and discover the rich environmental story of the Lake District at first hand. The site’s 30‑acre landscape includes a remarkable mix of habitats, from lakeshore and wildflower meadows to Birkett Wood, an area of ancient upland oak woodland that has been carefully protected and enhanced over time.
In partnership with Bewilderwood, Brockhole will be adding new trails to the site across 2026 and 2027, specifically designed to help familes connect to this unique natural history
Our free adventure playground also provides families with the perfect way to burn off some energy in a natural woodland setting.
