Seeds of Resilience: A Celebration of the Brockhole Kitchen Garden Heritage Project

Join us for a celebration of the Kitchen Garden Project.

  • Find out more about the project and the garden’s history
  • Take part in a free family workshop run by Richard Shilling, environmental artist and exhibitor in our Gaddum Gallery.
  • View the inspiring Seeds of Resilience Exhibition in the Gaddum Gallery – by environmental artists Richard Shilling, James Brunt and Julia Brooklyn. This exhibition is open from 6 - 28 November.
  • Visit the Kitchen Garden and newly opened exhibition to find out more about the garden’s past and its designer, Thomas Mawson.

A full day of activities:

10:00 – 16:00:

  • Gaddum Gallery, Seeds of Resilience exhibition open for free viewing
  • Kitchen Garden Heritage Exhibition open for free viewing
  • Grounds and Gardens open – enjoy the wonderful autumn colours!
  • Café and shop open

11am – 12:30: Outdoor, environmental workshop with Richard Shilling (pre-booking online required, free but with limited places)

13:30 – 14:30: Tour of Brockhole’s Kitchen Garden Project - a short history of the garden and project to date by Kate Jackson  our Project Officer, with visit to the garden and creative seed activity.
