The big get together
As the next phase of lockdown easing in England happens on 17th May, here’s why Brockhole on Windermere is the ideal place to enjoy time with your family and friends.
First, let’s have a look at what is changing on 17th May in England:
If the government meets its targets for reducing Covid, it's planned that:
- People can meet in groups of up to 30 outdoors
- Six people or two households can meet indoors
- Domestic overnight stays allowed with people not in your household or bubble
- Pubs, restaurants and other hospitality venues can seat customers indoors
- Hotels, hostels and B&Bs can reopen
- Advice on social distancing between friends and family, including hugging, will be updated (but may not come into effect at this point)
Why your big reunion should be at Brockhole on Windermere
Food, glorious food!
One thing everyone's excited about is the opening of indoor dining; although we have loved serving you on our terrace, we can't wait to welcome you through our café doors to enjoy delicious dishes in comfort and style, rain or shine. If you enjoy a bit of al fresco dining don’t worry, as we’ll be continuing to serve food on our terrace. With that view, why wouldn’t we!
Another foodie delight our chefs are certainly excited for is The Gaddum reopening, (check The Gaddum’s Instagram for a sneak peek). Offering delicious lunches and spectacular afternoon teas, The Gaddum is a great place to enjoy quality time with family and friends in beautiful surroundings. Why not book a table today on The Gaddum’s website?
The big reunion
Brockhole on Windermere is the place to be with your wider family and friends. With the possibility of meeting up to 30 people outdoors, you needn’t look any further for a host destination. As well as the delicious food options in the house, we also have two takeaway cafés for your picnic essentials and our Brockhole BBQ. Is there a better treat than a BBQ with friends and family perfected by a top local chef?
Now food is sorted, let’s move on to keeping everyone entertained. We’ve got activities for all the family, whether you fancy igniting that competitive spirit with a family archery competition, or having a laugh with friends on our Krazy Karts we’ve got you covered.
If you’re after a more relaxed day catching up with those you’ve missed then you can enjoy a stroll around our Thomas Mawson designed gardens, (be sure to check out our Kitchen Garden) or perhaps a wander along the lakeshore looking across at the fells is more your thing. We prefer both!
Now we may be biased, but with our open spaces, on site parking, variety of activities and delicious food offering, there really is no better place to enjoy some quality time with those faces you haven’t seen for a while.
