Nurture Lakeland presents a unique hour long version of Terry Abraham's new film 'Life of a Mountain: Blencathra'. An after dark, outdoor cinematic experience on the shores of Windermere, using a mobile solar powered cinema supplied by global outdoor gear company, Patagonia.
This eagerly anticipated film follows the awe-inspiring landscape, people and weather of the iconic Lake District fell, Blencathra, over the course of the year.
Eric Robson will host a Q&A with Terry Abraham on Saturday and Alan Hinkes will host a Q&A on Sunday.
All proceeds from the film screening will go to Nurture Lakeland and Fix the Fells to support the maintenance of this fell and others, enjoyed by us all around the Lake District. You are welcome to arrive from 6pm onwards. The film programme starts at 9pm.
You can also bring your used jackets and shells from any brand and swap them for a piece of pre-loved Patagonia gear. From 7pm until stock runs out! All items received during swap event will be donated to a local charity.
There will be several food and drink options available; A picnic can be purchased with your ticket for you to enjoy in the Brockhole grounds. A pre performance, two course set menu can also be booked with your ticket, or you can bring your own picnic and enjoy a drink from the terrace bar.
Call us on 0845 272 0004 (calls cost 2p per minute plus your phone company's access charge).
