Access for all

If you have difficulty walking or have a hearing impairment, there's equipment on hand to help you enjoy the centre and grounds, during the opening times of the house:

Arrival and parking

We have a car park for disabled badge holders next to the Visitor Centre entrance. We can collect visitors from the car park or new jetty and give them a lift into the grounds using our ‘Brockmobile’ buggy which seats seven people.

Facilities inside the Visitor Centre

We offer:

Our staff in the Visitor Centre will be happy to assist and answer any queries.

Grounds and gardens

The gardens were originally designed in Edwardian times for private use, so many of the paths and steps are steep. There is a path from the car park which takes you down to the lake and lower areas of the gardens. This is suitable for wheelchair users.

You are welcome to board the Brockmobile for a lift into the grounds. We also have two mobility scooters for you to borrow for a couple of hours to enjoy the gardens and grounds. Please ask at the information desk in the shop.

Adventure playground

We have a swing for disabled children and a wide slide.

Toilets

As well as toilets inside our Visitor Centre we have a toilet block just off the main car park. These have a separate disabled toilet and baby change facility. They are open all year round.

A second toilet block in the grounds near the lake is open Easter to October. However it doesn't have a disabled toilet or baby change facilities.
