Situated within landscaped gardens and grounds, with direct access to the lake shore, Brockhole offers the perfect wedding venue. Our facilities address the balance between a registry office and a hotel – a superb, picturesque setting, friendly staff and realistic prices.

Gardens

The gardens were designed by renowned landscape architect Thomas Mawson, and were awarded Grade II listing by English Heritage in 2002. The gardens are home to many established and unusual trees, plants and shrubs, providing colour for much of the year.

Function rooms

A suite of rooms on the first floor have been upgraded to provide a unique venue for small to medium size weddings.

The suite consists of three adjoining function rooms, a small interview room, cloakroom/kitchen and toilet.

Langdale Room

Our double-aspect ceremony room is light and airy. The focal point is the large, south-west facing picture window. The theatre style arrangement maximises the stunning views over our landscaped gardens to lake Windermere. Two further windows at the side afford superb views of the Langdale Pikes.

Windermere Room

The adjacent Windermere room is ideal for your wedding breakfast and lends itself to a number of different layouts. Ideal for some of your wedding photos, there is also a covered balcony providing 180 degree panoramic views over our landscaped gardens to lake Windermere.

Claife Room

Double doors either side of a central feature fireplace in the Windermere Room, lead to the Claife Room. The smallest of the suite, this room overlooks the Orangery terrace on one side and has views over the gardens towards Claife Heights.

Monday to Thursday £450
Friday to Sunday £550

This includes: Exclusive hire of the first floor suite of rooms from 9am to 6pm, parking for all guests.

Capacities

The Langdale Room has a maximum capacity of 50 people for a ceremony.

The overall capacity of the first floor is 80 people

We can offer comprehensive catering packages, tailored to your individual requirements. We also have an extensive wine list. Please contact us to arrange to discuss your requirements in more detail.

Arrive by boat
