Volunteer with us

Can you spare a few hours over the weekends or during school holidays to meet and greet our visitors, provide information and help show them around the site? Or to meet and greet Windermere Lake Cruises’ passengers at Bowness and Ambleside piers.

Meeting and greeting at Brockhole

We need volunteers to help provide a world class visitor experience for the 234,000 people who visit Brockhole, the Lake District Visitor Centre every year.

Volunteer wayfinders

We are also looking for a team of wayfinder volunteers to talk to passengers sailing on lake cruises from Bowness and Ambleside, explaining why it is worth stopping off at Brockhole pier and what they can expect to find here.

Volunteers will be asked to hand out leaflets and talk to people about the national park, encouraging them to drop off at the Lake District Visitor Centre at Brockhole.

What's in it for you?

We offer full training, free parking when you volunteer, discount in our shop and café and on the very popular Treetop Trek and Treetop Nets courses as well as taster sessions on all activities on site.
