National Bike Week and National Picnic Week!
It’s National Picnic week and National Bike week from 11-19 June and where better to spend it than the beautiful Lake District?
Why not combine the two and plan a great day out, grab your picnic basket and venture out into the Lakes with your friends and family and spend some quality time together. There are some amazing bike trails, for all ages in the Lake District that you could be enjoying this weekend and into the summer season!
What to enjoy at Brockhole?
Join the National Bike Week Bike Skills Event on 18 June from 11am-4pm and learn new skills whilst being supervised by some of Britain's top instructors, bikes and helmets are provided.
If you don’t have a bike, don’t worry! Hire a bike at Brockhole and hop on the amazing Windermere Lake Cruises Bike Boat, now running every weekend from our jetty - you can then access the traffic-free cycle path to Wray Castle. Enjoy your picnic on the beautiful Brockhole gardens and grounds with views over Windermere and towards the Langdale Pikes. We have so many perfect picnic spots it would be hard to choose just one so come and take a look for yourselves.
Forgot your picnic? Don’t worry – we have lots of treats on offer in our large terrace café as well as plenty snacks from the Lakeshore café, you will be spoilt for choice!
Hopefully we have given you a couple of ideas on how to make the most of National Bike Week and National Picnic Week here at Brockhole. All our usual favourites will of course be on offer so join in with watersports, mini golf, adventure play and much more.
