Flight - Performers wanted!
Would you like to take part in Flight - a performance journey around Brockhole on Windermere on 7,8,9,10 July?
We are looking for volunteer performers, dancers, musicians, singers, model plane flyers, pilots and even croquet players.
In July 2016, Flight will celebrate our desire to fly and acknowledge the importance of Cumbrian aviation history during the First World War. Flight is part of 14-18 NOW, the UK’s arts programme for the First World War centenary. Audiences will experience an evocative journey through the house and gardens of Brockhole on Windermere, where layers of images will capture the beauty, power and drama of flight.
At the heart of Flight will be the young airmen of the First World War and the people they left behind looking up at the sky waiting for their loved ones to return, like migrating birds coming home. Only to wait and wait as so many never came back.
To book your place to visit the site with the Artistic Director Geraldine Pilgrim, who will explain the project in detail and the different ways you can get involved please email: firstname.lastname@example.org
