5 ways to make the most of your Great North Swim Weekend

5 ways to make the most of your Great North Swim Weekend

The Great North Swim is one of Europe’s largest open water events, attracting over 10,000 participants of all abilities and it is taking place on Lake Windermere over three days from Friday 12 June to Sunday 14 June with lots of people arriving at Brockhole by boat.

Good luck if you are taking part in the Great North Swim!

Brockhole is open as usual, with lots to do for all the family. So, we thought we’d share five great things for you to do over the weekend:

  1. Grab a bacon butty meal deal - be sure to pick up your bacon butty, hot drink and a choice of flap jack or Kendal mint cake, all for just £4. Find us just across from the adventure playground as you walk through the grounds (Friday, Saturday and Sunday)

  2. Explore Windermere by bike or boat - if you’re visiting with family and friends, what better way to discover Windermere than by bike or by boat! Benefit from an exclusive 20 per cent off over the Great North Swim weekend – quote ‘Great North Swim’ when you book at the lakeshore activity kiosk

  3. Have a delicious bite to eat at the Brockhole café – the main event is a stone’s throw away from Brockhole and so make sure you pop into the café for some traditional Cumbrian food. Yum!

  4. Keep the kids occupied at Treetop Nets and Treetop Trek – from 1,500 meters of giant trampolines and walkways, to 35 exciting treetop challenges including aerial obstacles like rope bridges and wobbly logs, there’s lots of fun activities to be enjoyed.

  5. Play mini golf - Our 9 hole mini golf course is perfect for a little competition with family and friends. Down by the beautiful Windermere lakeshore, you can't beat the view!
